1. Parties and Acceptance
These terms form a binding agreement between Cemal Kurt, a natural person resident in Türkiye ("Provider"), and you ("User") regarding the Islamhanem mobile app (the "App"). By installing or using the App you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, please do not use the App.
2. The Service
Islamhanem is a free religious-life companion providing prayer times, qibla direction, daily hadith, Hijri calendar, nearby-mosque lookup, prayer tracking, and (during Ramadan) iftar/sahur menu suggestions. The App is not officially affiliated with Turkey's Diyanet İşleri Başkanlığı; prayer-time calculations use the same parameters as the Diyanet method (via AlAdhan method 13).
3. Pricing and Advertising
The App's core features are free of charge. To cover operating costs we display Google AdMob banner ads. We may later offer an in-app purchase to remove ads ("Remove Ads"); any such purchase is made through the platform's own payment system (Apple App Store or Google Play) and is subject to that platform's refund policies.
4. Intellectual Property and Sources
The App itself — its design, code, graphics, and logo — belongs to the Provider. Religious content presented within the App is drawn from the following sources:
- Hadith — derived from the Hadislerle İslâm corpus published by Türkiye's Diyanet İşleri Başkanlığı. Arabic source text, Turkish translations, and footnote commentary remain the property of their respective translators and rights holders; the material is reproduced here for non-commercial educational purposes. If you find a missing or incorrect attribution, please let us know and we will correct it.
- Prayer Times — calculated using the open AlAdhan API with the Diyanet method.
- Map Data — the Nearby Mosque map is provided by Apple Maps on iOS and by Google Maps on Android. Place results come from the Google Places API.
All rights in the above source material belong to their original rights holders. The App presents this content for religious education and devotional companionship, without commercial exploitation of the content itself.
5. User Obligations
You agree to use the App:
- In compliance with applicable law and public morality;
- Without attempting to attack the security of the App or our servers;
- Without copying or redistributing the App's content without authorisation;
- Only on devices you own or are authorised to use.
6. Limitation of Liability
The App is provided "as is". Prayer times, qibla heading, and hadith content are presented using the best available methods, but absolute accuracy is not guaranteed. For important devotional decisions (especially iftar/sahur times during Ramadan, eves, and special days) we recommend cross-checking with additional sources.
The Provider does not guarantee that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or fit for a particular purpose. The Provider is not responsible for errors in third-party services integrated into the App (Google AdMob, Google Maps, AlAdhan, etc.).
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the Provider shall not be liable for indirect, consequential, or special damages (loss of profit, loss of data, etc.).
7. Notification and Location Permissions
Prayer-time notifications require the device's notification permission; approximate location requires the location permission. You may revoke these permissions at any time from your device settings, understanding that the corresponding features may no longer work.
8. Service Continuity and Updates
The Provider may change, add, or remove features of the App with or without prior notice, while preserving any paid entitlements (such as a "Remove Ads" purchase) as far as reasonably possible. If the service is to be discontinued entirely, at least 30 days' advance notice will be given on this page and in the App.
9. Governing Law and Forum
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Türkiye. Disputes arising out of these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts and enforcement offices of İstanbul (Çağlayan). Nothing in this clause limits consumer-protection rights granted to you by mandatory law.
